$236,000,000,000 in gross revenue divided by 4,889,380 stores = $48,249.47 is how much a store made on average per the given year.
That means an average Shopify store brings in around $4,020 USD per month.
At small scale margins can be higher and reach up to 30-40%, however at scale, especially 7-figures per month 15-20% is more realistic. Of course, margins depend on several variables.
However, we won't settle for average.
